TL;DR
Platform Development Engineer (Power MOSFET): Contribute across the full product development lifecycle from concept and device architecture through design, prototyping, validation, and industrialisation with an accent on performance, reliability, and manufacturability of next-generation MOSFET platforms. Focus on conceptualising innovative semiconductor technologies, performing data analysis, and communicating technical insights to stakeholders.
Hybrid in Stockport (3 days per week in office, must be able to work onsite)

What you will do
- Interpret customer requirement specifications for new power MOSFET products
- Contribute to technology platform and product design using TCAD, Cadence, and Klayout
- Perform data analysis across wafer test, assembly, and qualification stages
- Prepare technical summaries and communicate complex information to teams, stakeholders, and management
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, customers, and suppliers on specifications and roadmaps
Requirements
- Degree in Electronics Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related
- Several years in power semiconductor development (Power MOSFETs preferred), strong device physics, process, manufacturability, failure mechanisms
- Excellent communication to translate technical info for stakeholders and teams
- Ability to work onsite in Stockport on hybrid basis (3 days/week in office)
Nice to have
- Project management and multitasking experience
- Experience with TCAD, Cadence, or Klayout
- Statistical analysis tools like Minitab, Statistica, or SPSS
- Root cause analysis methods (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, containment)
