Continuous Improvement Manager (Product Development): Driving continuous improvement across Business Units and Product Lines by reducing post-release BOM changes and optimizing the NPDI process with an accent on root cause analysis and data-driven insights. Focus on establishing monitoring frameworks, leading cross-functional initiatives to reduce downstream disruptions, and enhancing product data quality.

Location: Westerville, OH, United States. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain a global monitoring framework to track post-release BOM changes.
  • Perform root cause analysis using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone methodologies to identify systemic process gaps.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with Design, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to reduce BOM change frequency.
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau to measure improvement effectiveness.
  • Standardize processes for BOM accuracy and completeness at the point of product release.
  • Present data-driven findings and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in continuous improvement or process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional improvement projects.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies and data visualization tools.
  • Working knowledge of PLM/ERP systems and BOM structures.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
  • Experience applying data science techniques, such as predictive analytics or ML, to process improvement.
  • Background in design engineering with hands-on BOM management experience.
  • Familiarity with NPDI and stage-gate product development processes.
