What you will do

• Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment.
• Review electrical drawings and specifications to quantify scope of work.
• Source and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing for accurate costing.
• Assist with change order pricing, cost impact assessments, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Maintain cost databases, benchmarks, and rate libraries.
• Liaise with engineers, contractors, consultants, and clients on cost matters.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating, cost consulting, or construction cost management
• Understanding of electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and data systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Experience with quantity take-offs, detailed cost estimates, materials, labour pricing, and equipment costing
• Experience sourcing and comparing supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software/tools

Nice to have

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field
