What you will do

• Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring a responsive and solutions-oriented experience.
• Lead new hire orientation and manage onboarding/offboarding processes for employees and contractors.
• Maintain HR documentation and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
• Support company-wide initiatives, All Hands meetings, and internal communications via Slack and the HR intranet.
• Track employee trainings and ensure completion of required compliance and learning initiatives.
• Coordinate employee experience touchpoints, including new hire swag kits and cultural initiatives.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Deep knowledge of California labor laws and employment regulations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
• High sense of urgency, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a medical device or digital health/medical company.
• Familiarity with HR systems such as Rippling or Greenhouse.
