Senior Clinical Data Analyst (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for clinical, claims, pharmacy, and EMR data.
• Build, test, and deploy tables, views, schemas, ETL/ELT logic, and stored procedures in the clinical data warehouse.
• Extract, validate, cleanse, and organize data from Athena EMR through Athena Dataview and other healthcare systems.
• Partner with AI, machine learning, data science, clinical, and operational stakeholders to create reliable, documented, AI-ready data structures.
• Establish data modeling standards, data dictionaries, naming conventions, lineage documentation, and data quality monitoring.
• Present data architecture and warehouse deployment recommendations to technical stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

• BA/BS in computer science, data engineering, mathematics, statistics, healthcare informatics, or a related field, plus 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling and dimensional warehouse design, including star schema, snowflake schema, or data vault.
• Experience developing, testing, and deploying tables, views, and ETL/ELT pipelines into enterprise or clinical data warehouses.
• Direct Athena EMR and Athena Dataview experience, or comparable EMR reporting and extraction experience.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for querying, transforming, validating, and automating workflows involving complex healthcare datasets.
• Knowledge of Git, GitHub, healthcare coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, and DRG, and healthcare quality measures such as HEDIS, CMS, or NCQA.

Nice to have

• Experience in Medicare Advantage.
• Exposure to AI/ML engines and analytics platforms consuming structured data.
• Experience with Excel and data visualization platforms.
