Production Quality Intern (Aerospace)

TL;DR

Production Quality Intern (Aerospace): Developing inspection and verification procedures for satellite production with an accent on root cause analysis and continuous quality improvement. Salary: $29.00 per hour

What you will do

• Develop inspection and verification procedures in collaboration with Design, Production, Quality, and Test engineering teams.
• Support root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions to mitigate non-conformance issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for continuous improvement in quality.
• Support process and systems development to improve overall production quality.
• Develop dashboards, metrics, and visuals to identify and monitor factory health.

Requirements

• Passion for hardware development and manufacturing systems in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be onsite 5 days a week.
• U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required for compliance with export regulations.

Nice to have

• Previous internship or coursework experience in a similar quality role.
• Experience with quality management systems or hardware manufacturing.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Direct electrical or mechanical design experience.
• Demonstrated ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure.
