What You'll Do

• Own certification roadmap: develop and execute compliance strategies for new products and design iterations.
• Run NRTL relationships: manage UL, Intertek, CSA projects including quotes, schedules, technical submissions.
• Build technical records: prepare Construction Files with schematics, BOMs, component lists.
• Manage end-to-end testing: oversee on-site/lab tests, troubleshoot non-conformances, partner with R&D on solutions.
• Track standards: monitor NEC, NFPA 855 updates and update internal design guidelines.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in product compliance for power electronics, battery, or solar industries.
• Proven NRTL success with UL, CSA, or Intertek certifications.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA 855.
• Analytical skills to interpret standards and apply to hardware designs early.

Nice to have

• Experience with IEC 62619 or IEC 62109 for international markets.
• Functional Safety (ISO 26262 or IEC 61508).
• European standards equivalents.
• Detective mindset for failure analysis.
