What you will do

• Establish and grow the Core Technology Quality team, recruiting SMEs across batteries, PWBA/SMT, and EE modules.
• Act as the primary technical authority for failure analysis, corrective actions, and qualification strategies from EVT through mass production.
• Define and enforce material quality standards, test methods, and acceptance criteria across the supply chain.
• Partner with Hardware R&D and NPI teams to identify and mitigate electrical design and process risks early.
• Manage supplier quality systems (QMS), ensuring robust data collection and accountability for quality deliverables.
• Influence design and process decisions through data-driven analysis and clear communication of technical risks to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Supplier, Manufacturing, or Product Quality/Reliability Engineering.
• 6+ years of people management experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise in battery and/or PWBA/SMT quality engineering in a high-volume consumer electronics environment.
• Expert knowledge of quality tools including GRR, SPC, 8D, FMEA, and DOEs.
• BS in Engineering (Electrical, Materials Science, Mechanical, or related field).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
