What you will do
- Design, code, debug, and maintain firmware for embedded systems using C, C++, and assembly.
- Troubleshoot and optimize embedded code to ensure high functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Integrate firmware with analog and digital hardware designs and support OS-level interactions.
- Collaborate with hardware, electrical, and systems engineers on design reviews and integration.
- Document technical issues, fixes, and improvements for cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in firmware, software, or embedded systems engineering.
- Proficiency in C, C++, assembly, and machine language.
- Understanding of embedded systems, operating systems, and microcontroller architectures.
- Must be able to work onsite in Tucson, AZ.
Nice to have
- Experience with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, Bluetooth, and TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of interfaces including RS-232, RS-485, USB, and Ethernet.
- Hands-on experience with ESP32 and PIC microcontrollers.
- Proficiency with version control systems, specifically GitLab.
- Basic PCB design skills using tools like Altium or KiCad.
