Senior Associate - Valuation - Corporate Finance

Location: New York, NY; candidates must be able to verify their legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Salary: $80,000–$135,000 per year.

What you will do

• Analyze historical and projected financial information and develop detailed financial models to value companies, investments, and complex securities.
• Direct junior staff in developing valuation models and take ownership of the quality of their analyses.
• Organize and aggregate large datasets in Microsoft Excel and use Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and other financial and market data platforms.
• Prepare and present thorough, client-ready valuation analyses across transaction opinions, portfolio valuation, tax and financial reporting, litigation, and special situations.
• Communicate project status and results internally and externally, manage junior staff deadlines, and produce clear written reports.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, business development, practice development, and leadership activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Three to five years of prior valuation work experience, preferably with a national accounting firm or valuation firm.
• Experience as a key team member leading the development and completion of client-ready valuation deliverables or similar client service deliverables.
• Strong financial modeling skills and valuation-related technical competencies.
• Ability to collaborate with industry specialists and work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong report writing, communication, project management, organization, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Option Pricing Models, including Black-Scholes, and/or Monte Carlo simulation.
• Significant progress toward an ASA designation or similar designation.
