What you will do

• Drive the statistical direction and technical strategy for the core experimentation platform.
• Design and improve experimentation methodologies used across product and research teams.
• Build scalable analytical systems and pipelines in Python and distributed compute environments.
• Improve result reliability by detecting and preventing bias, logging issues, and data quality failures.
• Partner with engineers and product teams to refine experiment design and metric quality.
• Mentor other data scientists and establish best practices for experimentation governance.

Requirements

• Experience building or operating experimentation platforms at a large technology company.
• Deep expertise in statistics, causal inference, and online experimentation methodology.
• Strong coding skills in Python and large-scale data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
• Hands-on experience with variance reduction, CUPED, sequential testing, or SRM detection.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model in Bellevue.
• Ability to communicate complex statistical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
