Salary: $179,500 – $269,500

What you will do

• Define analytical strategy and modeling frameworks for pricing recommendations across product surfaces.
• Apply machine learning and economic models to predict donor behavior and price elasticity.
• Design and oversee robust experimentation and causal measurement frameworks.
• Build adaptive systems leveraging reinforcement learning or sequential decision-making concepts.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to productionize models and ensure safe deployment.
• Influence senior leadership through compelling storytelling based on complex data insights.

Requirements

• Must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to work onsite 3x a week.
• Ph.D. in Economics/related field OR 8+ years of industry experience in data science, pricing, or marketplace optimization.
• Deep expertise in econometrics, causal inference, and behavioral modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PyMC/Stan) and SQL.
• Proven ability to own and deliver high-impact models in a high-tech environment.
• Experience designing and interpreting complex experiments.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer pricing, marketplaces, or digital payments.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted coding and LLM-based solutions for model orchestration.
