What you will do
- Define the ML science roadmap for CRM personalization, translating vision into concrete projects with measurable outcomes.
- Lead the full lifecycle of production ML systems, from problem framing and metric design to deployment and iteration.
- Partner with marketing, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable production systems.
- Strengthen experimentation and measurement frameworks to validate hypotheses and quantify ML impact.
- Communicate technical findings and trade-offs to both technical and business audiences through data narratives.
- Mentor scientists via code reviews and champion standards for scientific rigor and reproducibility.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 4-6+ years of experience applying machine learning to real-world problems with a track record of production delivery.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and distributed data processing using Spark or Databricks.
- Strong foundations in statistics and designing rigorous experiments (A/B testing and beyond).
- Must be based in the United States (Seattle, WA).
- Experience leading cross-functional ML projects and aligning stakeholders on success metrics.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of constrained optimization, operations research, or budget allocation methods.
- Deep understanding of causal inference and measuring incremental effects in real-world settings.
- Experience with CRM personalization, loyalty marketing, or customer retention systems.
- Experience with deep learning, reinforcement learning, or multi-armed bandits.
- Familiarity with ML production practices such as CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, and automated pipelines.
