What you will do

• Own the mechanical system architecture across all drone platforms and establish work breakdown structures.
• Lead and direct a team of mechanical engineers to integrate subsystem designs into a robust integrated system.
• Act as the primary point of contact for integrating ME systems with Electrical and Software Engineering teams.
• Perform trade studies to identify and select critical system components and technologies.
• Implement design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-test (DFT) best practices.
• Oversee Engineering Verification Test (EVT) procedures and maintain the mechanical BOM in PLM systems.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience leading unmanned aircraft systems (UAV) design and verification.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence required (no sponsorship available).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, and PLM (Arena preferred) systems.
• Knowledge of drone propulsion, structural analysis, vibration, and heat transfer.
• Demonstrated experience with Waterfall design and development methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
