TL;DR
Head of Engineering (SaaS/Azure): Turn a strong group of engineers into a scalable engineering organization with an accent on people leadership, organizational structure, and delivery predictability. Focus on building leadership layers, setting standards for architecture/quality/reliability/security, and owning capacity planning/prioritization across multiple initiatives.
Location: Fully remote (team across 11 countries, HQ in Zurich, Switzerland)

What you will do
- Lead and scale the engineering organization focusing on people leadership, structure, and delivery predictability.
- Own engineering delivery including capacity planning, prioritization, roadmap feasibility, and dependency management.
- Manage and develop engineering leadership (Tech Leads, QA Leads) and evolve management/ownership models.
- Collaborate with Head of Technology, Product, and leadership to translate business priorities into engineering plans.
- Set standards for architecture, quality, reliability, security; ensure teams execute independently.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development; build capabilities in architecture/security/compliance/platform.
Requirements
- Min. English C1
- 8+ years in software engineering with hands-on building/operating production web-based systems.
- 4+ years in engineering leadership (e.g., Engineering Manager, Head of Engineering) with people/delivery/planning ownership.
- Strong delivery leadership in SaaS/product environments.
- Solid understanding of software architecture and Microsoft stack (Azure, .NET).
- Experience leading senior engineers/tech leads; working with founders/executives during scaling.
- Financial/headcount planning; strong communication; security fundamentals.

- Compliance/regulated environments (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- CI/CD, infrastructure as code, data platforms.
- Frontend (Angular, TypeScript).
- B2B SaaS, remote-first teams, operationally intensive domains.
