Location: Based in Ashburn, Virginia or remotely on the East Coast (US). Travel up to 25-30%.
Salary: $145,000–155,000 Base + Bonus

What you will do
- Evaluate prospective data center sites from Gate 0 to early Gate 2, embedding energy considerations in decision-making.
- Develop site-level power strategies assessing feasibility, timelines, scalability, and risks.
- Analyze utility power availability, substation capacity, interconnection pathways, and delivery schedules.
- Identify risks, assumptions, and mitigation strategies; proactively scout powered land opportunities.
- Partner with Market Development and Site Selection teams to align power feasibility with strategy.
- Engage utilities and IPPs in early discussions; prepare executive materials and present to leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Energy, Economics, Business or equivalent.
- 7–10 years in energy strategy, power infrastructure, or energy development.
- Experience in early-stage strategy and feasibility, not execution; utilities, IPPs, or large-load environments.
- Strong knowledge of utility models, grid infrastructure, and interconnection.
- Analytical skills to translate technical data into business insights; excellent communication.
- Ability to work in ambiguous environments; cross-functional collaboration; travel 25-30%.
