What you will do

• Support the conception and design of optical components and systems.
• Adapt and optimize existing optical designs.
• Perform simulations and analyses of optical systems.
• Analyze and evaluate customer requirements and designs for proposals and studies.
• Contribute to the creation of technical specifications, drawings, and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams, customers, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Successfully completed degree in physics or engineering with a focus on optics.
• Expertise in imaging, aberration theory, and wave optics.
• Experience with optical simulation software (e.g., Zemax/OpticStudio, FRED).
• Programming skills in Python.
• Good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
