Salary: $145,200 - $289,340 per year

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, and operate relational and non-relational database environments in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Manage Oracle Database and Autonomous Database platforms for application and analytics workloads.
• Integrate databases with streaming technologies like Kafka or OCI Streaming and object storage/data lake environments.
• Implement and manage replication, high availability, and failover architectures.
• Design and maintain backup, snapshot, and point-in-time recovery (PITR) strategies.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and implement security and governance controls.

Requirements

• Experience administering Oracle Database and Oracle Autonomous Database environments.
• Proven experience integrating databases with streaming/ingestion technologies (Kafka / OCI Streaming).
• Experience working with NoSQL or JSON document-based databases and object storage platforms.
• Expertise in implementing replication, high-availability, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Strong skills in database performance tuning and query optimization.
• US Citizenship is mandatory for government security clearance (Secret level).

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL or EnterpriseDB platforms.
• Proficiency in data modeling and schema design.
• Experience provisioning databases using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Experience administering Linux-based database environments.
