What you will do

• Design and develop rocket motor systems, including grain geometry, case structures, insulation, and nozzle assemblies.
• Perform internal ballistics, thermal, and structural analyses to ensure reliability under extreme conditions.
• Collaborate with structures, thermal, GNC, and manufacturing teams for seamless vehicle integration.
• Plan and execute static fire tests, including instrumentation, data collection, and post-test analysis.
• Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations to drive design improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in propulsion system design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in rocket propulsion design and testing for aerospace or defense applications.
• Strong background in solid rocket motor design, internal ballistics, and nozzle performance.
• Proficiency in modeling tools such as MATLAB, ANSYS, or equivalents.
• Experience with hardware build, integration, and troubleshooting in lab or test environments.
• U.S. citizenship is required as the ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance is mandatory.
