TL;DR

Head of EDP Category Strategy (FMCG): Defining and steering the global EDP (Dairy and Plant-based) category strategy to deliver sustainable growth, value creation, and competitiveness with an accent on competitive intelligence, strategic planning, and cross-functional governance. Focus on integrating external market signals, scenario planning, and translating choices into executable growth platforms across zones and functions.

Leading global food & beverage company with businesses in Essential Dairy and Plant-Based Products, Waters, Early Life Nutrition, and Medical Nutrition.

What you will do

  • Define and refine 3–5 year EDP category strategy, including diagnosis, ambition, strategic choices grounded in consumer, regulatory, health, sustainability, and competitive dynamics.
  • Lead competitive intelligence, monitoring competitors, market trends, and ecosystem plays to identify opportunities, risks, and white spaces.
  • Provide strategic decision support, challenging business cases, financial scenarios, and major category choices like innovation, portfolio shifts, and partnerships.
  • Act as PMO lead for category governance, orchestrating leadership meetings, tracking progress, and ensuring disciplined execution.
  • Serve as thought partner to Category VP, zones, and functions, mobilizing cross-functional alignment and strategy deployment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in strategy, category leadership, or business development; management consultant experience preferred.
  • FMCG/food & beverage experience strongly preferred; global/multi-zone exposure required.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical and financial acumen, high-impact C-suite communication.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional initiatives, influence in matrixed organizations, comfort with ambiguity.
  • Fluent English.
