What you will do

• Lead and execute hands-on bioinformatics analyses for target identification and translational research.
• Define and implement advanced bioinformatics pipelines, tools, and workflows independently.
• Collaborate with translational leads to align bioinformatics activities with functional development plans.
• Communicate analytical findings effectively to cross-functional teams and contribute to regulatory documents.
• Maintain technical expertise in current bioinformatics trends and propose proactive innovations.
• Facilitate the interpretation of complex datasets to support data-driven strategies.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience applying bioinformatics to biological and clinical datasets.
• Strong proficiency in R, Python, and tools for RNA-seq, pathway analysis, and NGS data.
• Proven ability to work independently within a matrix organization.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Parma, Italy.
