Sr. Scientist – Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Proteomics (Bioinformatics)

What you will do

• Develop computational tools and data infrastructure for the Discovery Proteomics Group.
• Conduct statistical analysis, data ingestion, database and tool development, and computational pipeline implementation for proteomics data.
• Build data analysis, management, and visualization strategies for complex datasets generated by mass spectrometry and other technologies.
• Support biomarker discovery, target evaluation, experimental design, and mechanism-of-action studies.
• Integrate and mine data across genomic and proteomic platforms and present results to scientific stakeholders.
• Collaborate with scientists across functions and therapeutic areas to translate discovery needs into computational solutions.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or a master's degree with 3 years of scientific experience, or a bachelor's degree with 5 years of scientific experience.
• Expertise in large-scale quantitative proteomics and other omics data analysis.
• Fluency in Python, R, and SQL, with experience in statistical analysis, data processing, data ingestion, and data visualization.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with version control, Docker containers, reproducible data analysis, documentation, and coding project management.
• Strong scientific communication, independent critical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, proteomics, or biology.
• Familiarity with basic machine learning and deep learning packages.
• Experience with meta-analysis of public proteomics studies such as GTEx or CPTAC.
• Background in biology or chemistry related to immunology, oncology, inflammation, or cardiometabolic disease.
