Location: Hybrid, office-based in Salt Lake City, Utah, or New York City, New York; at least 50% of working time in the office.
Salary: $151,800–$200,600 annual base salary for Salt Lake City and other U.S. locations; $166,980–$220,600 for New York City, Boston, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Annual bonus, equity compensation, and comprehensive benefits are also available.

What you will do
- Lead and mentor data scientists and computational biologists while maintaining a 50% individual-contributor workload.
- Design and execute analyses for oncology target nomination, validation, and discovery of cancer vulnerabilities.
- Develop biomarker strategies and patient-stratification hypotheses from target nomination through hit-to-lead and lead optimization.
- Integrate phenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, genomics, and patient data to answer complex portfolio questions.
- Collaborate with biologists, medicinal chemists, clinical leads, platform teams, and engineers to scale analytical tools and support program decisions.
- Present analyses and data packages to internal stakeholders and external decision-makers.
Requirements
- PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, cancer biology, or a related quantitative field with 5+ years of biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience; or a relevant master's degree with 7+ years of industry experience.
- Experience managing and developing direct reports in a scientific or technical environment.
- Deep oncology expertise, including biomarker discovery, patient-population stratification, patient genetics, and disease-pathway druggability.
- Expertise analyzing and integrating at least two omics modalities and working with patient data.
- Advanced Python or R skills for high-dimensional biological data analysis and exceptional data-visualization ability.
- Experience with high-throughput screens or CRISPR/small-molecule perturbations, oncology datasets, and clinical translation is required or relevant to the role.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with TCGA, CCLE, DepMap, and real-world data.
- Exposure to IND-enabling studies or clinical-trial biomarker analysis.
