Bioinformatics Leader (AI)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts; London, United Kingdom; Lyngby, Denmark; or New York, New York. Hybrid working model combining work from home with on-site presence at client or hirify.global offices. Client-facing travel is required as needed.

Salary: $200,000–$229,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead bioinformatics strategy and execution across client engagements as the primary scientific and analytical contact.
• Design and implement computational workflows for genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and other multi-omic data in drug discovery and translational settings.
• Translate complex biological questions into analytical frameworks and present clear insights to research and R&D stakeholders.
• Contribute to proposals, business development, account expansion, and client conversations.
• Collaborate with scientific strategy, AI, data, and technology teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor junior bioinformatics staff and help develop internal tools, methodologies, and thought leadership.

Requirements

• PhD, Master's degree, or equivalent applied experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, or a related field.
• Hands-on proficiency with bioinformatics tools and programming languages including Python, R, Nextflow, and Snakemake, plus experience with cloud-based compute environments.
• Expertise in at least one biological modality, such as genomics, transcriptomics, or single-cell analysis, with AI and machine learning applied in a scientific context.
• Experience working with human patient-level data and multimodal datasets including omics, imaging, clinical, or real-world evidence data.
• Strong communication skills for presenting complex findings to scientific and non-scientific audiences.
• For work in the United States, candidates must already have authorization that does not now or in the future require employer sponsorship. Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Experience in consulting, a CRO, biotech, or pharmaceutical R&D.
