Working Student RF Validation and Lab Automation (Engineering): Developing and automating RF measurement routines and simulations for next-generation mmWave and sub-THz systems with an accent on lab automation and signal processing. Location: Hamburg, Germany. Hybrid setup possible, but requires presence in Hamburg

What you will do
- Perform and analyze RF measurements and develop PHY-level simulations.
- Perform electro-magnetic (EM) simulations for passive components and develop system-level models.
- Develop automated test routines and reporting for RF measurement setups.
- Implement remote control of measurement equipment and contribute to the NXP-wide lab automation library.
- Collaborate with lab engineers to optimize RF measurement setups and data storage.
Requirements
- Current student of Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on RF technologies.
- Experience with Python or MATLAB in the context of electrical engineering and signal processing.
- Hands-on experience with RF equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and VNAs.
- Experience with EM and system-level simulation software, preferably Ansys HFSS and PathWave SystemVue.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is required.
