What you will do

• Design, implement, and monitor the next-generation video streaming pipeline using in-house and open-source technology.
• Build scalable and resilient data pipelines for video ingestion and analytics using microservices architecture.
• Drive improvements to the reliability, performance, latency, and security of the video streaming platform.
• Evaluate and develop video encoding technologies to optimize quality and reduce CDN delivery costs.
• Collaborate with Ads, Data, and Client teams to optimize the end-to-end video player and ad experience.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Golang, Java, C++, or similar high-performance languages.
• Deep experience with concurrent programming and building high-throughput RESTful web services.
• Experience with cloud computing and deployment technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with audio and video codecs (AAC, H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, AV1).
• Knowledge of streaming protocols like MPEG-DASH, HLS, MPEG TS, fMP4, CMAF, Zixi, and SRT.
• Experience with OTT video packaging, DRM, and Server-Side Ad Insertion (SSAI).
• Familiarity with FFmpeg and cloud transcoding services (AWS Elemental, Azure Media Services).
• Experience mentoring and leading engineering teams.
