What you will do

• Lead the technical direction for the core control plane, including KMC/PSS and App Builder + Connector.
• Own and deliver major subscription service initiatives to improve time-to-onboard and operator efficiency.
• Architect core platform contracts, including APIs, data models, events, and RBAC patterns.
• Deploy custom MCP tooling and autonomous agents to automate platform engineering tasks via AI models.
• Develop secure, reliable API endpoints and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability for distributed systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate authentication services and support new feature rollouts.

Requirements

• Expert-level backend engineering experience with Python and FastAPI.
• Proven track record designing control-plane primitives in a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
• Profound experience with AWS core services for architecting scalable and cost-efficient solutions.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Airflow, and Spark.
• Strong ability to balance performance, cost, maintainability, and developer experience.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• AWS cloud infrastructure certification.
• Experience with data privacy regulations such as HIPAA or GDPR.
• Knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL), NoSQL (DynamoDB, Redis), and MPP databases (Snowflake, Redshift).
• Prior experience building SDKs, CLIs, and self-service tooling for developers.
