Quantity Surveyor

TL;DR

Quantity Surveyor (Infrastructure): Deliver commercial and contract advisory services for high-value engineering projects in infrastructure, nuclear, and oil/gas sectors with an accent on pre- and post-contract financial compliance, cost forecasting, and value management. Focus on preparing tender documents, administering contracts, reviewing payments, and completing final accounts.

Location: Hybrid in the UK (Chorley/London or client offices; must have right to work in the UK)

What you will do

• Support preparation of tender and contract documents, including analysis of commercial returns.
• Provide pre- and post-contract commercial support, cost forecasting, change, and value management.
• Review and process contractor interim payments, variations, and claims.
• Complete contract final accounts and support client governance, reporting, risk, and value management.
• Work alongside project teams for successful commercial outcomes across UK-based projects.

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK and flexibility for hybrid work (3 days on projects/client offices, 2 days home).
• Recognised degree in Quantity Surveying or related subject.
• 3+ years (Intermediate) or 5+ years (Quantity Surveyor) relevant project experience in infrastructure, nuclear, oil/gas, or similar, with NEC3/4 contracts.
• Excellent stakeholder management in multi-disciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Enrolled on RICS pathway to Chartered membership.
• Experience with contract management systems like CEMAR.
