Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 per year

What you will do
- Own the full payments operations lifecycle: onboarding, pricing, underwriting, monitoring, disputes, and support, defining core metrics like approval rates, loss rates, and time-to-decision.
- Build a scalable, instrumented system with feedback loops for continuous improvement.
- Reimagine operations as AI-native with agent workflows, LLM tools, and real-time decisioning, partnering with Product and Engineering.
- Manage portfolio performance, evolve risk appetite, and refine underwriting/monitoring strategies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, manage acquirers/processors, and lead cross-functional partnerships.
- Lead a team transitioning from manual workflows to AI-driven oversight and exception handling.
Requirements
- 10+ years in operations, 7+ in payments/fintech/risk; PayFac experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success building AI-native decisioning systems (agent workflows, rules engines, ML-assisted).
- Deep expertise in payments acquiring, risk underwriting, fraud, chargebacks, transaction monitoring.
- Proven ownership of portfolio performance with accountability for loss/approval rates and efficiency.
- Experience leading operational evolution from manual to automated workflows.
- Senior-level external partner engagement and cross-functional leadership.
