Sr Engineer, Ent Arch (Fintech)

TL;DR

Sr Engineer, Ent Arch (Data Platform): Contribute to the development and maintenance of enterprise data platform infrastructure supporting Client Experience, Regulatory, and Investment teams with an accent on data entitlement policies, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud data migrations. Focus on architecting secure messaging queues, provisioning infrastructure with IaC, automating CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system security, performance, and regulatory compliance.

Location: Hybrid in Houston, TX offices (at least 4 days/week); must be based out of Houston, TX and available to travel there regularly within 24 hours’ notice.

What you will do

• Build and maintain enterprise data platform infrastructure for Client Experience, Regulatory, and Investment teams.
• Implement data entitlement using tagging, masking, and attribute-based controls.
• Design and manage ETL/ELT pipelines triggered by schedules, events, or business needs.
• Architect data migrations to cloud solutions like Snowflake and Aurora.
• Manage messaging queues with secure flows, encryption, authentication, and authorizations.
• Develop data infrastructure on multiple clouds with IaC, CI/CD, containerization, and orchestration.
• Integrate security scanning, optimize performance via monitoring, and plan disaster recovery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in data engineering with expertise in Snowflake, Airflow, AWS, and modern data stack.
• Strong data governance, quality, security; microservices in cloud; containerization/orchestration.
• Build ingestion pipelines from REST APIs, files, cloud storage; system monitoring/logging/alerting.
• Hands-on with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, EKS, etc.), Terraform, Git, Python, SQL, DBT, Airflow, Airbyte, and tools like JIRA, Power BI.
• High-availability and disaster recovery experience; based in Houston, TX with regular travel availability.
