CAD Engineer/Librarian Intern (Aerospace)

CAD Engineer/Librarian Intern (Aerospace): Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for spacecraft and supporting structures with an accent on maintaining and improving design library and data infrastructure. Focus on developing, ideating, and documenting practices that enable good and efficient design.

Location: San Francisco (U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required)

Base Hourly Pay: $29 USD

What you will do

• Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for the spacecraft and its supporting structures
• Maintain and improve design library and data infrastructure
• Develop, ideate, and document considerate practices that enable good and efficient design

Requirements

• Hold a four-year B.S. degree or currently pursuing M.S. in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent technical degree
• Passion for hardware development in fast-paced environment with hands-on work
• Experience with SolidWorks
• Experience with GD&T and engineering drawings
• U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required (to comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations)

Nice to have

• Experience with design of complex assemblies and components
• Experience in design of spaceflight components and/or vacuum compatible systems
• Experience with surface modeling
