What you will do

• Define hardware operations strategy, including SLAs, incident management, and reporting methods.
• Oversee third-party delivery and bring-up of network and compute systems from delivery through QA and production.
• Drive the development of tools and processes to support operations workflows and vendor coordination.
• Implement innovative approaches to improve equipment availability and time to market.
• Optimize bill of materials, logistics, and physical processes to enable scale-out of operations.
• Manage partner relationships to ensure alignment with company goals.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data center operations as a manager, engineer, or technical lead.
• Proven track record of overseeing portfolios of mission-critical systems.
• Subject matter expertise in deployment, maintenance, material movement, and warehousing.
• Proficiency with data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Atlassian Analytics.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant domain or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Sydney office (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• 10+ years of experience managing operations and logistics for large-scale data centers.
• Understanding of AI/ML workload requirements, including power, cooling, and network connectivity.
• Experience in supply chain management, sourcing, procurement, and vendor onboarding.
• Experience managing colo operators or contract operations staffing vendors.
• Knowledge of data center facility infrastructure (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems).
