Salary: $158,401 – $179,521 (Base pay)

What you will do
- Supervise day-to-day laboratory personnel, including CLSs and CLAs, across all testing phases.
- Ensure strict compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state regulatory requirements.
- Perform and oversee high-complexity molecular oncology assays and verify test results and QC data.
- Manage instrument operation, calibration, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting.
- Lead training, onboarding, and competency assessments for new and existing laboratory staff.
- Partner with Quality, R&D, and Operations to drive process improvement and assay validation.
Requirements
- Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license (or CGMBS/generalist license).
- Bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science.
- Minimum 4 years of clinical laboratory experience, including molecular and/or high-complexity testing.
- Compliance with CLIA General Supervisor qualifications under 42 CFR 493.1461.
- Hands-on experience with PCR, DNA extraction, and automated liquid handlers.
- Must be based in or be able to work onsite in Menlo Park, CA.
Nice to have
- Prior experience serving as a CLIA General Supervisor.
- Experience in startup or high-growth laboratory environments.
- Background in medical genetics or oncology diagnostics.
- Experience with cell-free DNA (cfDNA) or next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows.
