What you will do
- Create ML models using Python/R to support behavioral health data analytics.
- Apply clustering, regression, and NLP to build informative predictive models and risk classifiers.
- Collaborate with public health teams and clinicians to translate data into strategies for quality improvement.
- Perform data validation and audits to ensure regulatory compliance and reporting accuracy.
- Contribute to AI/ML-enabled digital health solutions, including mental health risk and wellness monitoring tools.
- Present technical findings and data visualizations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field.
- 1-3+ years of experience in statistical and predictive analytics using Python or R.
- Experience developing ML models for healthcare quality and population health analytics.
- Proficiency with ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or XGBoost.
- Experience working with large, structured healthcare datasets (claims, encounter, EHR).
- Location: Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Hanover, MD
Nice to have
- Ability to analyze healthcare quality metrics (HEDIS, CMS, NCQA).
- Experience with SQL querying and relational database analysis.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability and coding standards (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED).
- Exposure to cloud analytics platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
