Salary: C$47,900 – C$61,200 per year

What you will do

• Prioritize overnight renders and coordinate processor allocations between shows and the facility pool.
• Monitor and manage disk usage for the facility and individual shows on a shot-by-shot basis.
• Manage show data archives, create backups, and fulfill data restoration requests.
• Collaborate with digital artists and CG Supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve render issues.
• Maintain and update department tools and write pipeline scripts to support technology efforts.
• Ensure maximum render farm utilization during shifts to meet business day deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Film Production, or an equivalent degree.
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proven knowledge of Linux, Mac, and Windows operating systems.
• Ability to work shift hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt and perform in a high-pressure, fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
• Experience with 3D animation software like Maya or Katana.
• Knowledge of databases (Oracle, Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Familiarity with networking and tape backup systems.
• Previous experience in VFX, feature animation, or episodic production.
