Indigenous Legal, Compliance, Regulatory (LCR) Summer Intern (Fintech)

Location: Toronto, Canada; the internship takes place at hirify.global and Stikeman Elliott's Toronto offices.

Salary: $21 CAD per hour during the internship.

What you will do

• Complete a May–June private-practice rotation with Stikeman Elliott.
• Complete a July–August in-house rotation with hirify.global.
• Support work involving legal research and writing.
• Gain exposure to law firm operations and the administrative aspects of business law practice.
• Build experience working with lawyers, students, mentors, and business groups.
• Participate in professional development sessions, networking, and social events.

Requirements

• Identify as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit.
• Be enrolled in or have completed an accredited Canadian university undergraduate program as of May 2026.
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada for the duration of the internship.
• Be able to live in Toronto for the duration of the internship.
• Submit transcripts, a 1–2-page personal statement, and a résumé by May 1, 2026.
• Successful candidates must complete applicable pre-employment background checks.
