Director, Regulatory Compliance Management, Advisory and Privacy Office (Fintech)

Location: Remote in Canada

Salary: CA$190,000–CA$230,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead compliance advisory services for Product, Marketing, Technology, Payments, Partnerships, and User Success.
• Own regulatory interpretation, compliance reviews, marketing and customer communication sign-off, and regulatory change management.
• Build and govern the enterprise privacy program, including Privacy Impact Assessments, consent, data handling, cross-border transfers, and privacy notices.
• Lead privacy incident and breach response, complaints, access and correction requests, and root-cause remediation.
• Lead, coach, and develop compliance and privacy professionals.
• Apply AI, automation, analytics, RegTech, and privacy technology to improve compliance operations and advise on responsible AI use.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive compliance, privacy, or regulatory legal experience in financial services, including substantial advisory experience.
• Deep knowledge of Canadian consumer protection, retail banking or payments, and privacy legislation.
• Experience building or substantially maturing a privacy or regulatory change management program.
• Strong people leadership, writing, decision-making, and ability to explain complex regulatory reasoning clearly.
• Experience in regulated fintech, neobanking, or direct-to-consumer financial institutions.
• Relevant designations such as CIPP/C, CAMS, CRCM, LL.B./J.D., or equivalent are an asset.
