Guidewire Developer (ClaimCenter)

Location: hirify.global office locations across the United States, or remote for candidates who are not local.

Salary: $89,000–$148,100 annually, plus an eligible annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design and code robust, high-performance solutions across systems and services.
• Develop and support Guidewire ClaimCenter and surrounding middleware using Java, Spring Boot, AWS services, and PostgreSQL.
• Contribute technical expertise to critical property and casualty insurance claims initiatives without formal people-management duties.
• Evaluate system architecture, technical standards, coding practices, security, and development processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders to align implementation with business needs.
• Create proof of concepts, troubleshoot InsuranceSuite issues, and work within SAFe.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Required experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter and at least 8 years of software development experience, including 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Expert understanding of the full software development lifecycle, software design patterns, scalable architecture, and maintainable systems.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerization and orchestration, testing, Git, RESTful APIs, microservices, SQL, secure coding, and cloud-native AWS architecture.
• Experience with Java, Gosu, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, Spring Boot, EKS/ECS, Maven or Gradle, and Guidewire InsuranceSuite components including PCF, business rules, queues, batches, and assignment rules.
• Knowledge of auto insurance; commercial and personal auto lines experience is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Guidewire Cloud InsuranceSuite Professional Developer certification.
• Experience with AI prompt or agentic engineering, AppDynamics, Splunk, Angular, React, Vue, responsive design, and progressive web apps.
• Experience using Guidewire Profiler and InsuranceSuite REST APIs for integrations and performance troubleshooting.
