TL;DR
Field Service Technician (Electromechanical): Perform high-quality preventative and emergency maintenance on card printing equipment with an accent on electromechanical repairs, diagnostics, and customer site support. Focus on troubleshooting complex issues, replacing parts like motors and sensors, calibrating devices, and ensuring system reliability.
Location: On-site in Coppell, TX area, driving to multiple customer sites daily
Salary: $22.68–$35.65 per hour

What you will do
- Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on equipment including mechanical embossers, thermal imaging, laminating, magstripe/chip writing, and UV curing.
- Diagnose and resolve issues using test equipment, hand tools, repair manuals, voltmeters, and laptops.
- Clean components, calibrate sensors and devices, replace worn parts like motors, belts, bearings, and sensors.
- Manage trunk inventory, report service activities, and handle dispatch calls.
- Interact with customer staff, resolve issues independently, and adapt to customer culture while upholding company values.
- Participate in training, assist junior staff, and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of electromechanical technician experience
- Proficient problem-solving, troubleshooting, PC skills, and software applications
- Willingness to drive to multiple sites daily, work flexible hours/shifts, travel, and be on-call
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, bend, stoop, and walk extensively
- Overtime as needed
Nice to have
- Associates degree in Electronics or related field
- Additional field service or central issuance experience
- Proficiency in electro-mechanics, digital electronics, and test equipment
