What you will do

• Analyze customer requirements for NLU features and define interfaces with ASR front-end and back-end services including LLMs and agents.
• Design and implement module-level NLU solutions.
• Acquire, annotate, and clean data for training NLU models.
• Innovate new AI tools or leverage existing technologies to meet project needs.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams on deliverables and schedules.
• Improve accuracy, resolve defects, and develop LLM-based AI solutions for Japanese products.

Requirements

• Native or close-to-native Japanese speaker plus fluent English for communication with global colleagues.
• Master’s degree (or above) in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, AI, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with NLU technology.
• Working knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agents.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and scripting.
• Ability to communicate Japanese market- and language-specific requirements to stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR).
• Proficiency in additional human languages.
