What you will do

• Lead the delivery of production-grade systems, including reference architectures and custom data applications.
• Guide strategic customers through the design and deployment of industry-leading big data and AI applications.
• Own architecture and design decisions to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and follow best practices.
• Collaborate with internal Engineering and Product teams to provide feedback and influence the product roadmap.
• Embed with customer teams to understand technical challenges and deliver high-impact outcomes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or data platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep knowledge of Apache Spark and distributed computing internals.
• Fluent in Japanese and professional working proficiency in English.
• Must be based in Tokyo, Japan and available for 20% travel to customers.

Nice to have

• Databricks Certification.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
