TL;DR
Director of Procurement (Healthtech): Build and lead end-to-end procurement function across SaaS/technology vendors and medical/consumer health sensor vendors with an accent on strategy, negotiations, cost optimization, and operational scaling. Focus on establishing procurement infrastructure, driving measurable savings, vendor consolidation, and supply chain resilience in a high-growth digital health company.
Location: Hybrid based out of Manhattan, NY. Must be available to work in office several days per week. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. No visa sponsorship.
Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 USD annually. Bonus eligible.

What you will do
- Establish and scale end-to-end procurement strategy, processes, tools, policies, workflows, and internal controls.
- Own SaaS/technology procurement for 120+ vendors (~$5M spend): sourcing, RFPs, negotiations, contracting, renewals, consolidation, and optimization.
- Manage medical/consumer health procurement (~$50M spend): negotiate pricing/terms with manufacturers, develop supplier strategies, ensure quality and reliability.
- Build procurement operations: implement systems (e.g., Zip, Coupa), dashboards for spend/savings/performance, drive adoption.
- Provide strategic leadership: partner with executives on cost strategy, vendor risk, hiring, and advise on products/partnerships.
Requirements
- 8+ years in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management; 3+ years in leadership/Director role.
- Experience across SaaS/technology and physical goods procurement; building/scaling in high-growth environment.
- Strong negotiation track record with 15%+ cost savings; familiarity with procurement systems (Coupa, Ariba, Zip).
- Strong understanding of contracts, vendor risk, and compliance.
Nice to have
- MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain Management; CPSM, CPP or equivalent certification.
- Experience in regulated medical devices, health products, or supplements; ERP (Netsuite); S&OP or M&A procurement.
