Location: Remote (USA or Canada). Must operate during Pacific Time business hours (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. PT). An in-person meeting is required during the hiring process.

Salary: $90,000 - $172,500 per year

What you will do

• Provide L2/L3 technical support for routers, switches, and cloud-based EMS applications.
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex network outages and performance issues reported by customers.
• Collaborate with product managers and vendors to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Document case histories, troubleshooting guides, and best practices to improve support efficiency.
• Manage Salesforce tickets and ensure strict adherence to SLAs.
• Perform cause analysis and provide effective recovery strategies for network failures.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in technical support or escalation within networking and telecommunications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Expertise in TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, and Layer 2/3 protocols.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and the ELK Stack.
• Hands-on knowledge of Cisco or Juniper network devices.
• Fluent English (verbal and written).

Nice to have

• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, PHP, or Perl.
• Knowledge of containerization frameworks like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SDN controllers (OpenDaylight, ONOS) and SASE/SD-WAN architectures.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIP, RHCSA, or CISSP.
