TL;DR

Manager of Bookkeeping Services (Accounting): Manage and lead the Bookkeeping Services team, develop strategy, ensure profitability, and create processes for exceptional bookkeeping deliverables to member clients with an accent on operational excellence, accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration. Focus on fostering accountability, driving efficiency, diagnosing performance gaps, and implementing scalable solutions for business impact.

Location: Hybrid position requiring regular in-office work (Monday and Wednesday required); candidates must reside in the greater Vancouver–Portland metropolitan area

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 dependent on experience, plus $75 monthly cell phone allowance

What you will do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing bookkeeping team with focus on accountability, growth, and continuous improvement
  • Establish standards and processes ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity of bookkeeping services for hirify.global members
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance Managers to deliver seamless bookkeeping support and oversee departmental financial performance
  • Define long-term vision, goals, and roadmap for the bookkeeping function while identifying gaps and implementing efficiency solutions
  • Build relationships with members and CPAs through consulting, presentations, and collaboration for alignment and compliance
  • Optimize workflows, audit member books, manage billing, and track profitability metrics in partnership with leadership

Requirements

  • Must reside in the greater Vancouver–Portland metropolitan area
  • 6+ years progressive accounting experience including 3+ years in leadership/management role
  • Hands-on bookkeeping experience and 5+ years managing accounting for multiple clients/entities
  • CPA designation preferred or bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Strong leadership, communication, team-building, and focus on KPIs/business objectives
  • High energy, work ethic, commitment to confidentiality, and professional integrity
