Pre-Project Manager (Food Processing)

What you will do

• Lead L1–L3+ processing and integrated pre-projects from initial customer needs through firm quotation and handover to the implementation team.
• Develop technical concepts, process designs, engineering solutions, component specifications, cost calculations, quotations, and contracting documents.
• Define deliverables and scope with customers and customer management based on strategic and economic evaluations.
• Organize and lead design reviews, risk reviews, schedules, commissioning plans, and performance commitments.
• Coordinate pre-project teams and collaborate with hirify.global experts, project management, and Supply Management across borders.
• Manage pre-project delivery against budget, schedule, quality, and scope while supporting customer satisfaction and sales results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Process, or Food Engineering.
• Fluent German at native level and strong English skills.
• 5–7 years of experience in engineering, commissioning, and project leadership.
• Background in the food or liquid processing industry, including dairy, liquid foods, or prepared foods.
• Experience delivering processing solutions, managing installation projects, and working with bidding, tendering, and pre-project activities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and engineering or drawing tools such as AutoCAD; experience with database-driven engineering design tools is preferred.
