Lead Capital Project Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead capital projects ranging from approximately $5M to $50M from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate the site capital portfolio and align project objectives with business priorities.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, resources, and investment value.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers, and external engineering partners.
• Drive engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Communicate progress, risks, and key decisions while ensuring environmental, health, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, bioprocess, food, or process engineering.
• Extensive capital project management experience in manufacturing, industrial, chemical, food, or related environments.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale capital projects with responsibility for cost, schedule, safety, and quality.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and stage-gate capital project processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders in dynamic environments.
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken, are required.

Nice to have

• PMP certification or an equivalent project management qualification.
• Experience with brownfield and greenfield manufacturing projects.
• Experience working in multinational and matrix organizations.
