What you will do

• Own sustaining engineering and corrective action development for powertrain and thermal systems across production and in-service fleets.
• Drive resolution of issues within electric drive systems, battery systems, power electronics, and thermal management.
• Use fleet data (MTBF, failure rates) to prioritize work and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead design updates and system improvements to ensure robust performance, durability, and serviceability.
• Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and execute validation plans at component, system, and vehicle levels.
• Coordinate retrofit and rework campaigns and collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in powertrain, thermal, battery, or EV systems within product development or manufacturing.
• Proven track record of delivering subsystem-level corrective actions for production vehicles.
• Expertise in root cause analysis, DFMEA, and product/process validation.
• Must be located in or able to work on-site in Foster City, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous vehicles.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFS, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency with CATIA, 3DX, DELMIA, SAP, JIRA, Confluence, SQL, or Python.
