What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of global media processing and delivery infrastructure to ensure low-latency and high availability.
• Build and optimize backend services for video/audio ingestion, distributed transcoding, and CDN routing.
• Partner with ML/AI teams to develop a roadmap for media recommendation, content understanding, and GenAI.
• Establish engineering best practices and define strict SLOs/SLAs for media operations.
• Guide multiple engineering teams and translate complex product requirements into actionable technical roadmaps.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate prototyping and system design.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven track record as a Technical Lead or Staff Engineer.
• Expertise in designing and operating large-scale distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to influence technical direction and navigate tradeoffs.
