What you will do

• Define and execute a long-term preclinical pharmacology vision aligned with the Generative Biology platform.
• Lead functional bioassays, assay automation, and in vivo pharmacology organizations.
• Drive closed-loop optimization between computational design and experimental validation to improve upstream models.
• Partner with Clinical Pharmacology to ensure strong PK/PD translation and biomarker continuity from preclinical to clinical settings.
• Establish high standards for rigor, reproducibility, and decision-quality data across the portfolio.
• Align functional budget, infrastructure, and talent strategy with corporate growth objectives.

Requirements

• PhD, MD, or equivalent in life science, engineering, or quantitative discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in high-throughput assay development (in vitro or in vivo) in industry or academia.
• Proven experience leading leaders and managing multi-functional preclinical teams.
• Demonstrated success advancing programs from early discovery through IND-enabling studies.
• Deep expertise in PK/PD, dose optimization, and GLP-aligned assay validation.
• Must be based in or able to work from Somerville, MA.
