What you will do

• Lead external pre-clinical research models and manage CRO/academic partnerships for functional validation.
• Direct immune functional assays and lead the experimental validation of targets identified by AI/ML platforms.
• Define experimental strategies and govern partner performance through rigorous SOWs and budgets.
• Partner with R&D, Clinical Development, and Regulatory teams to align assay outputs with project milestones.
• Develop a long-term roadmap to transition from external partnerships to an internal wet-lab engine.
• Mentor scientific staff and contractors to foster a rigorous, outcome-focused research culture.

Requirements

• PhD in Immunology, Biology, Pharmacology, or related field (8+ years post-grad experience) or MS (12+ years experience).
• Must be based in the USA.
• Proven track record of managing complex external research programs and building translational capabilities.
• Deep expertise in immuno-oncology, immune functional assays, and mechanistic evaluation.
• Experience using high-dimensional data, such as single-cell sequencing, to validate AI-driven insights.
• Strong project management skills in scoping, budgeting, and risk management.

Nice to have

• Expertise in neoantigen biology or antigen presentation validation.
• Experience with tumor model systems.
